Monarchs in the Portuguese Algarve

Late news from David Keen, your Old Bug Hunter – If any of you are
going to the Portuguese Algarve for your summer holiday this year,
keep a watch out for the Monarch Butterfly.

I was there for the first week of June and saw lots and lots of them
in many places in and around the city of Silves and in the valley of
the River Arade to the east of Silves. They particularly enjoyed
